Sammer Zakhour Biography
Sam Zakhour grew up in Dallas, Texas, where he attended the prestigious St. Mark’s School of Texas. He then attended and graduated with honors from the University of San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in English.
After college, Mr. Zakhour enrolled at California Western School of Law in Downtown San Diego, where he was a member of the Middle Eastern Law Student Association. During Law School, he interned with the San Diego Public Defender through California Western’s Bail Project. He also interned for two local criminal defense firms in the Downtown San Diego area.
Mr. Zakhour took and passed the California Bar Exam on his first attempt. Upon passing the bar, he was hired by a local firm, where he practiced criminal defense and civil litigation.
Mr. Zakhour then moved on to work at one of the premier boutique criminal defense firms in San Diego where he gained invaluable knowledge and experience, before ultimately starting his own practice in Downtown San Diego.
With a strong background in civil practice and criminal practice, Mr. Zakhour has successfully represented clients with a wide array of legal issues. Aside from obtaining numerous civil settlements, including one against the Federal Government for $250,000.00, and winning two Anti-SLAPP motions, Mr. Zakhour has represented numerous criminal clients, including the handling of a case that went to the Fourth District Court of Appeal.
Mr. Zakhour has handled criminal cases from every end of the spectrum, including multiple defendant Federal organized crime (RICO) cases, multiple felony domestic violence cases, drug possession and sales cases, DUIs and many more. He works closely with each of his clients and is always available to answer questions during the pendency of their case.
His office is conveniently located just two blocks from the Downtown San Diego Superior Courthouse. He practices exclusively in the Federal and State Courts of Southern California.
